| We take responsibility |

To entrust assets of critical importance in someone else’s care, you need to be able to trust the administrator. In our daily lives, we have grown accustomed to trust the bank with our finances and bank balance, and insurance funds with maintaining the value of our assets in case of an accident. But similarly, we trust kindergarten and school teachers to look after our children, and we place confidence in our doctors, believing in their skills and competence. Trust must be earned. We can trust a partner once we have enough information about them and their business. A bank’s reliability is usually connected with the physical security measures. As users of banking services, we envision a huge storage chamber closed with a steel door and guarded by uniformed men, even though nowadays most of our assets are in the form of electronic money, which is protected by completely different security measures. In case of an insurance company, our trust grows in proportion to the compensation paid. At a day-care centre or school, we talk to the teachers and inspect the premises where our children spend a big part of their day, and we ask about the discipline imposed on the children. One way or another, trust is built on the responsibility assumed by our partner. Responsibility – which is usually stipulated in a written contract, but is ideally accepted by way of mutual understanding and agreement – means that the partner keeps their promise. Also, a partner can only assume responsibility if they have all the necessary means and resources for entering into the agreement. Infore assumes responsibility for the data stored with us, by applying the agreed best measures in the processing, storage and preservation of data. Infore assumes responsibility for carrying out the agreed procedures to ensure the preservation of data in the face of known risks, and is actively committed to assessing any new potentials. Infore is not responsible for the preservation of data which cannot be accessed, used or recovered as a result of damage beyond Infore’s control or caused by a third party. Nevertheless, should these extraordinary circumstances emerge, we will, in cooperation with the customer, make all reasonable efforts and try to find ways for the recovery of the information. Ensuring that data is preserved is the foundation of our reliability. It is as essential as knowing that the bank will always take care of our money; that the insurance company will always pay us compensation in an emergency; and that our children come to no harm during the day. We will build and maintain this trust. Infore. |
